Shopee is a Singaporean e-commerce platform headquartered under the Sea Group (previously known as Garena), which was founded in 2009 by Forrest Li. Shopee first launched in Singapore in 2015, and since expanded its reach to Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Brazil. It serves users in Southeast Asia and Taiwan to buy and sell products online. How to install Shopee App?
Go to the App Store or Google Play, and search Shopee on the search bar. Tap “Shopee App” and install it.
How do I register/log in to Shopee?
Signing up is quick and easy! Register using your phone number or email address or use your existing Facebook account. You need to verify your phone number or email address before you can choose your username and password.
You can then access your Shopee account using any of the following credentials with your Shopee password:
- Shopee username
- Phone number
- Email address
or you can use the following quick login methods:
- via SMS verification
- via Facebook

How to register using an email address?
To get you started, simply follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to "Me" tab and click on the “Sign Up” button.
Step 2: Tap on “Sign Up with Email” button.
Step 3: Complete the registration by creating your Shopee username and password.
Note: Password must be 8-16 characters long and should contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase character.
Step 4: Check your email for account verification instructions. Follow the email instructions to complete the verification process.
Note: Valid email addresses are as follows:
- Acceptable email prefix formats
- Allowed characters: letters (a-z), numbers, underscores, periods, and dashes.
- An underscore, period, or dash must be followed by one or more letter or number.
- An underscore, period, or dash must not be the first character.
- Sample invalid prefix formats:
- Acceptable email domain formats
- Allowed characters: letters, numbers, dashes.
- The last portion of the domain must be at least two characters, for example: .com, .org, .cc
